Testimonial Letter
In October of last year Greg Gerrie offered a course in public speaking
at my church, Granville Chapel, of which I attended. Greg’s course was
useful, informative and incredibly challenging.
Much of the success of the course was in who Greg is as a person as in
the content of the course material. I found Greg to be assertive,
challenging, respectful, encouraging and honest. He researched his
audience and crafted a program to suit our needs and even changed course
mid-stream to meet our objectives. In teaching on a topic where most
people would rather die than speak, Greg created a supportive and safe
environment to explore, fail, discover and learn.
I accepted a public speaking engagement within weeks of completing his
course and I owe much of my own success to his leadership and example.
In whatever he is doing Greg Gerrie is precisely what is needed in our
communities, our churches, and our world today.

Dear Greg,
Thank you for your contribution to CPSA’s December 5th Breakfast Club
meetings. Your presentation, Fired UP For Selling! 25 Hot Tips To
Increase Your Sales, was the highlight of our series.
As you know, salespeople are expected to deliver very polished
professional presentations on a daily basis, so they are one of the
toughest groups to impress when addressing. Well, you were definitely up
to the challenge and you delivered!
The following comments were typical of the feedback I received:
“Excellent presenter – great topic, very informative and
understandable!” In fact, 90% of the audience rated your content and/or
delivery as “Excellent”. The chemistry created by you contacting each
person prior to the event was great. Your personal attention to everyone
in the room brought everyone closer together and some people formed
productive relationships. I know that there are at least 2 new members
from today's sessions, but the overall experience for the attendee was
very positive and will have a lasting impression.
Greg, by all reports the Breakfast Club meeting was a success and your
role as a speaker contributed a great deal towards that result. Thank
you again for an excellent presentation.
Sincerely Yours,
Sonya Egan

Dear Greg, Thanks for your motivational Closing Ceremonies at Vitalize

Hi Greg,
Just wanting to thank you for providing a group that was dynamic,
challenging and very applicable to life and to me. When I signed up, I
was thinking that it would be information that I would use with my
clients at work. I had given up on making goals for myself, as somehow,
my focus became trying to find contentment with my current situation.
You clearly demonstrated that God wants more than just contentment from
everyone. It made me think of Paul, who preached so much about finding
joy and contentment in all situations...and yet, his goal was not just
to be content, but to spread the word to all Gentiles. If he settled for
contentment....well, who knows what would have happened to the
Christian faith. Thank you for awakening within me some dormant dreams
and goals. Now the challenge will be to making them come to life!!!
Sandy Dueck
Greg, this is a good opportunity to say I’ve enjoyed the presentations
I’ve seen you give for their practicality as well as creativity. You
keep audience needs uppermost, and provide useful insights for people to
take away and make use of in the future.
As well, I think you’ve acquitted yourself very well on NowTV and come
across in a very professional manner as a featured guest.
Del O'Shaughnessy
Greg,
I had the pleasure of listening to your talk at the One to One meeting
on Thursday (Feb.28). Your story about being disappointed about 'only
going to India' really hit home.
I am the Opera Singer....and the fear that comes over me sometimes when
I have to 'soar to a high note' can be overwhelming....you reminded me
to be thankful for all the good notes I hit...and it worked...I sang
last night and felt much calmer about the whole thing and all the high
notes came out just fine......
Opera singing is sort of like flying a plane, believe me....although
I've never flown a plane, the fear of 'over shooing' is there. But
onwards and upwards, I'll keep trying.

We were so delighted to have Greg come and speak to our group of
teachers and principals. He is a true professional in the way that he
liaised with me, contacted participants in advance to find out their
needs, set up the room, greeted people at the door and included them in
his program. Wow!!! I can see why the Canadian Association of
Professional Speakers has given him the designation “Professional
Speaker.”
Given that Greg was a former teacher, he spoke from the heart about his
experiences and therefore really empathized with the audience. I was
impressed in the way that he honoured the teachers. Most importantly,
Greg delivered ideas and information that was useful to the teachers -
information that they could use now. The teachers left with a new vision
for their lives. Many took away his book Fired Up For Life – How to Get
and Stay Motivated in order to reinforce the message.
If you want a speaker who truly cares about the audience, who gives
tips, ideas, wisdom, a sense of leadership and a wonderful new vision
for their lives then consider Greg. If you want your audiences to laugh
and cry, to dream and reflect, to make some decisions and re-commit to
excellence then I would highly recommend Greg Gerrie.
To reinforce my testimony of Greg, I’ve included some of the exciting
comments from participants.

Hi there!
We met at the Ignite seminar co-ordinated by UBC commerce. I was the
girl from Singapore.
Well... I learnt a lot from you that day and I must tell you that from
that day, you convinced me to take the first step towards achieving one
of the goals I'd written down on the piece of paper given out. One of my
personal goals had been to forgive someone that had hurt me in the past.
And I'd been carrying around that burden for about a year now. I have
finally let it out and now, to me, it feels like a huge load off my
chest. So thank you for helping me take the first step

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Busy over here. There were many things
that I will take from your book. The ones that made the most impact on
me are:
- Being responsible for managing my thoughts - thinking positively
- Avoid negativity
- Our values are the foundation of our goals
- Happiness is closely tied to helping/serving others
- If others can do it so can I
- Life is a process & each day is an opportunity to start fresh
- Worry, fear & anxiety are the root of our failures & we have to
overcome our way of thinking to go forward
I will continue going back to your book at certain times. I enjoy
learning ways of self-improvement. When's the next book? Stephanie Bartel-Telus
The chapter on FEAR and
the one on TIME MANAGEMENT really helped me immensely. So much so, that
I am going to use what I learned in those 2 chapters to train others on

themselves and their businesses. The whole book was very motivating. Marj Ehresman,

importantly, provided a method for effective goal setting. What I

"I've read many similar books on staying motivated. In fact I use a
process much like Greg's, and yet I learned so much from his candor.
Everyone who is going through the humbling, sometimes downright
depressing process of making their dreams come true, will be inspired to
keep on. I needed to hear how tough another successful person had it on
the road to his living his dreams. Someday, I wanted to quit too, but
along came Greg's book just when I needed it. Thank you Greg for opening
your heart to us dreamers and visionaries that are on the journey to
living a life of richness and light."

Hey Greg,
Great advice and very timely in my life right now. I am feeling
overwhelmed with all that God has blessed me with and I want to be a
good witness, a good husband, and good business partner and a good

crucial. Thanks for taking the time to write things that help others,

I feel like this particular motivational minute was written just for me

Hi Greg !
The last few motivational minutes were psychically phenomenal !!
I had either just experienced what you were talking about or was just
about to !
So, I had a good look at my life and thought about it for awhile.
I came to the conclusion that people are more alike(in all ways)than
they care to admit to themselves and accept.
Once I accepted this likeness as the simple and wondrous truth it is, it
opened up everything for me on a daily basis where I am more cognizant
of my interaction with God and the spiritual guidance He provides for me
daily through excellent interactions with people of all descriptions in
many ways.
Sometimes your motivational moments are a beacon in the storm that can
guide us to a safer place if we try.
I thank God there are people like you in this world and am lucky to have
made your acquaintance !

I want to thank-you for these motivational minutes, I forward them to my
managers and they often cascade through the office. It occurred to me
that I had never acknowledge them so thanks Greg..

Dear Greg;
I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I have been receiving
(and make a point of reading) your Motivational Minutes. This one (#12)
inspired me enough to send to a select group of friends and other "loved
ones". Good for you that you are squeezing every bit of learning from
your life experiences and BRAVO to you for sharing these life lessons
with others! I, for one, appreciate your efforts.
Best regards,
Elana
Thanks Greg. Courage is facing the moment which is much smaller than an
hour and very small compared to a day. The moments add up and the day is
complete and another week goes by before we know it. Have a great week.

Greg, thanx for the inspiration. I find it refreshing to pause within
the busy day to contemplate the thoughts you send along. By the way the
hard copy sheet of
the 4 areas of questions relating to customer pain which I had pinned up
within my department has recently disappeared. I was hoping that I could
get another
copy to put up within the department!! Thanx Jim.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the effort you're putting
into your Motivational Minutes. Here I am looking out at heavy clouds
(weather and work related), and in comes an MM where you talk about
reading The Power of Positive Thinking and then noticing that the rain
actually felt warm! So I have to say that your short message has made me
feel better today.
I guess that sending e-mail messages might feel like you are talking
into the void sometimes. Thanks for keeping it up -- it's having an
impact.
Gerald.
Hi Greg!
A HUGE thank you for all your thoughts and insights in your motivational
minutes!! I'm always inspired and challenged! Your last one about
complaining was interesting for me 'cause we've been discussing in BSF
how complaining really is offensive to God and angers Him. I was
challenged to be more grateful and to thank Him more for all the
blessings big and small! It's interesting too that complaining can form
into a habit and is contagious...yuk! Like you've said, we need to form
more positive habits!!
Bless you Greg!
